Introduction to Mountain Dulcimer--July 14, 6pm learn three basic chords and you will be ready to play like a pro! Bring your dulcimer and learn how to play. If you don't have a dulcimer and want to see if you want to continue with it, I have a dulcimer available for use during the class. Location First Presbyterian Church. Call for more info. Beginning Quilting--July 18, July 25 1pm Introduction to quilting using the rail fence pattern. The first week we will cut the fabric and start sewing blocks. The next session we will finish the blocks and sew the top, the last week we will layer and quilt the top. Supply list provided at registration, class size limited to 6. Cost $30.
Introduction to sock knitting Learn how to use a magic loop to knit socks from the toe up. Optional to knit 2 socks at the same time. Skill level, comfortable with basic knitting skills. Call for supply requirements.
Beginning Rigid Heddle Weaving Learn the basics of weaving on the rigid heddle loom. Call if you are interested so we can determine a day. hopefully starting in January. Class is once a week for 3 weeks, about 2 hours each session. Learn the basics of how to warp, weave and finish several small mug rugs. Bring your loom and 2 skeins of yarn of contrasting colors, 2 looms available to borrow. Class limited to 6 cost $50.
Advanced Beginner Rigid Heddle Weaving--learn the next steps to more advanced weaving techniques on the rigid heddle. Call if interested.
Advanced Knitting--learn how to use multiple colors and carry the yarn and read a chart to do complex designs as seen with Fair Isle knitting. We will be making a hat. Call if interested.
